Lay the keel.
Every good ship starts low and wide. Each course sits staggered over the one below, so the seams never line up. That's the same reason a real brick wall holds.
Raise the gun deck.
Tan planking, a Bright Yellow trim line, four gun ports a side. Run out the cannons.
The captain's quarters.
A stern castle with lantern-lit windows. And somebody has to be at the wheel.
Masts & canvas.
Round bricks stack into masts with a crow's nest up top. Then come the sails: white canvas with red stripes, straight out of the classic 1989 pirate sets.
